He was born that way...

At the age of four, Jace displayed his talent by picking out melodies on a piano that he heard on television and radio. In a year’s time he was playing excerpts of the classical masters, and his favorite motion pictures. But there was more...

One day Jace’s mom asked him the name of the song he was playing. When he told her that he hadn’t thought of a name yet she was astonished to realize that most of the music he was playing for hours a day was his own.Whatever Jace was feeling he could translate to the piano and music. It became his friend, his love, his passion, and his ambition. By the time Jace reached the age of 12, he had spent nearly 10,000 hours playing the piano.

It wasn’t long before Jace’s original music began to reach other people’s ears, and one of those people was billionaire lumber magnate, philanthropist, and lover of fine art- Mr. Joseph Hardy.

Mr. Hardy was so taken with Jace’s work that he purchased two Steinway pianos and funded the creation of a symphony orchestra headed by Jace to showcase the music at Nemacolin Woodlands Resort and Soa- a 5 diamond resort built by Mr. Hardy. Jace was given round the clock access to the pianos and the resort to practice, compose, and find inspiration to create. And so began a decade of great artistic exploration and expansion in Jace’s life. He began to voraciously study the works of other great composers. He would take their symphonic manuscripts and rewrite their scores by hand, over and over, cover to cover. In the wee hours of the morning, he would wheel one of the pianos into a quiet room and practice piano technique- sometimes all night long.

Meanwhile between caring for his mom and dad, and having some fun, his home life was spent in his digital music studio gaining education and experience in the use and handling of the latest digital technology in music production.

In time he composed Vision his first album release of piano solos, and Jace Vek Live with the Royal Sylvan Philharmonic; featuring Jace’s piano work live with orchestra. During his time at Nemacolin he also received the honor of performing for President Bill Clinton, President George W. Bush, and The U.S. Congress and Senators of both political parties.

While this was happening, Jace’s music caught the attention of Dr. John Beal, American composer and chairman of music composition at West Virginia University. Jace was soon offered a scholarship. But the freelance approach to life was in his blood, and that the included the manner in which he educated himself- so he soon parted company with the University; but he still treasures what he learned their as a valuable asset and remembers the experience fondly.

Shortly after the University, Jace’s music also found it’s way to Pulitzer prize winning and Oscar winning composer Marvin Hamlisch who featured Jace with the Pittsburgh symphony.

Thereafter, Jace began performing for elite circles and private concerts at premiere locations around the country. At Sea Island’s Ocean Forest Club, patrons of the arts began calling Jace’s show the experience - and it stuck! From that inspiration the show The Jace Vek Experience was born. Today this live music show features original music composed and performed by Jace while accompanied by live artists from diverse musical disciplines. As a performance artist, Jace strongly emphasizes passion, originality, and, technical playing ability.

Jace’s diverse interests led him to composing music for film related projects. He began working with 12-time Emmy award winning director Robert Manciero. Robert’s documentary Prescription SUicide, with it’s original score by Jace, was largely responsible for successfully urging the FDA to enforce black box warnings on prescription anti-depressant medication. Jace’s music has also been used extensively for film projects on behalf of the city of Los Angeles, The Los Angeles Fire Department and the Los Angeles Police Department. To date these LA based projects utilizing Jace’s soundtracks have received five Emmy Awards nominations, and from these Jace has two Emmy award wins.

As a music producer, Jace’s ability to compose music for symphony has become a valuable asset to recording artists. He has collaborated with many award winning artists to orchestrate and produce their music.

Now At 39 years of age, Jace resides in Delray beach Florida and continues to work on new music releases, collaborations, film projects, and performing The Jace Vek Experience live in locations around the country.

Creator of The Jace Vek Experience. This live show has been performed in numerous venues and also has been featured in prestigious 5 diamond locations including, Sea Island the Cloister, The Breakers, The Homestead, and Nemacolin Woodlands.

Jace has released four albums. "Jace Vek Live with the Royal Sylvan Philharmonic" was recorded live with symphony orchestra. This album is regularly featured on XM sattelite radio, and has received airplay on radio stations worldwide.

As a music producer, Jace has worked extensively with instrumental artists developing their music for symphony; providing collaborative support in arrangement and orchestration.
